From going out to Kiawah in the summers growing up, to Diek's proposal on Kiawah's beach, having their wedding at the River Course seemed a very fitting choice for Berkeley and Diek. Their wedding truly captured the breezy yet refined and natural style of Kiawah Island. MCG Photography did an amazing job at executing the playful yet meaningful theme of Berkeley and Diek's wedding.
The ceremony took place behind the club house with gorgeous views of the Kiawah River. Ellen Johnson officiated while the Charleston Chamber Players provided an elegant musical backdrop for the ceremony. The palette included natural colors of khaki and green that was highlighted in the groomsmens' suits. The playful hues of pink and coral were featured in the flowers, done by Robert at the Kiawah Island Club and bridesmaids and bride's dresses which were from Modern Trousseau. A very cute and sweet touch was having Berkeley's sister and maid of honor walk the family dog down the aisle right before Berkeley walked down.
The guests enjoyed a wonderful and sumptuous dinner provided by the Kiawah Island Club. The cake, done by the Cake Stand, featured ivory layers accented with soft pink and coral peonies. The couple and guests danced the night away to the band, the Musical Fantasy from Mobile, Alabama.
